Project desrciption
CLARIN-PL aims to offer language resources and software tools for Polish language processing to researchers in the humanities and social sciences. CLARIN-PL's main purpose is to build research tools for the enhanced access to large collections of source texts, spoken language records and multimedia resources in Polish, and for their automated analysis. The resources include digital archives, corpora, electronic dictionaries and language models. The tools help perform such tasks as syntactic and semantic analysis, speech recognition, search for proper names, recognition of situation descriptions and many others. CLARIN-PL also allows users to store written and spoken sources, and share them securely in a Europe-wide scientific network infrastructure CLARIN under licenses specified by their authors. CLARIN-PL is building a language technology infrastructure for Polish. This will support an extensive implementation of language engineering achievements for Polish resources and enable flexible combinations of programs and resources available within CLARIN into multi-step language processing system.
